Wembley Town Centre will welcome the world with a celebration of food and music from across the globe on Sunday 9 until Saturday 15 September 2007.
Wembley World Flavour is a celebration of Brent's rich cultural diversity and builds on the success of the French and African markets hosted annually in Wembley Town Centre.
The aim of Wembley World Flavour, which is organised by Brent Council and the Wembley Town Centre Partnership, is to improve the town centre and create an exciting range of events for local people to enjoy.
Osita Udenson, Wembley Town Centre Manager, says, "Wembley is the most diverse place in the UK and boasts a rich mix of food, music and shopping experience from around the world. Wembley World Flavour is a fantastic way to celebrate Wembley's cultural diversity and we hope this will become an annual celebration in Brent's events calendar."
Wembley World Flavour will be a week-long celebration event with two elements. It begins with a five day musical extravaganza including jazz, salsa and Portuguese fado music in restaurants and bars in Wembley Town Centre, culminating in an outdoor celebration of food, drink, crafts, music and dance from world communities in the café quarter by Argos and St Johns Road.
